Advocacy – Trans-Latinx DMV addresses the community’s issues and needs by working with local, national organizations and groups, to change the landscape and livelihood of Transgender, Intersex, and Gender Variant Latinx folks. 

           

Community Organizing and Mobilization – Trans-Latinx DMV works with individuals, groups, and other organizations to ensure that the voices of the community are heard and advancements are made toward tangible changes for the community in D.C., Maryland, and Virginia.

 Support Group - Vivir Trans Para TransLatinas (Living Trans for TransLatinas)

Vivir Trans para TransLatinas is a support group within Trans-Latinx DMV dedicated to empowering and advocating for transgender Latinx women in the Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia area.

The group provides a safe and inclusive space where members can share experiences, access resources, and receive emotional and social support. Through workshops, peer mentorship, and community-building activities, Vivir Trans para TransLatinas fosters leadership, self-acceptance, and resilience among its members.

The group also works to amplify the voices of trans Latinx women, advocating for their rights, safety, and well-being while addressing issues such as immigration, healthcare, and employment discrimination.

In addition to advocacy and Support. Vivir Trans para TransLatinas also celebrates birthdays and holidays, creating joyful moments that strengthen the sense of community and belonging, by creating a strong and supportive network, Vivir Trans para TransLatinas ensures that trans Latinx women have the tools and community they need to thrive.
